Should I do outreach or post content? We say... why not both?

"Content is the grease for outbound"

I was talking with a financial advisor the other day about how I use LinkedIn to both post content AND do direct outreach. While I was explaining why I do both, he casually dropped the above quote.

And he’s absolutely right.

You can send messages to prospects and get results without posting content. But if you do post content, your outreach works even better.

Think about it -

  • when you post, more people recognize you
  • when people recognize you, they trust you more
  • and since we do business with people we trust, prospects are way more likely to respond (or become a client) when they’ve seen your content before.

Plus, posting regularly proves you’re consistent AND reliable—two things people want in a financial advisor.
