Quality clients, quality life
Feb 04, 2025Please, for the love of God, work with quality people if you can afford to do so.
It's so much better for your peace of mind.
A bad client can be the biggest pain in the ass, causing constant stress as you wonder what their next complaint will be.
A good client appreciates and respects your time and effort. You don’t have to worry about losing them every day.
To help, here are a few things to watch for before taking on a client:
- Do they show up on time? If not, they’ll likely disrespect your time in the future.
- Do they DEMAND your time by asking for a ton of phone calls based on when is convenient for them? If so, they will continue to ask you for a ton of calls moving forward.
- Do they complain a lot? Chronic complainers focus on problems, not solutions. No matter how hard you try, they'll always find something wrong.
- Do they make a fuss about your prices? If they do, they’ll likely keep feeling your prices aren’t justified, creating ongoing instability in the relationship.
So please be hyper-aware of who you're taking on as a client.
After running multiple businesses over the past seven years, I speak from experience when I say:
Life is so much better with quality clients.
