How to book more meetings on LinkedIn: A step-by-step process
Feb 24, 2025Anyone who's doing outreach on LinkedIn wants to book more meetings. Duh. But not everyone knows how to reliably book meetings on here. So let's do an audit of what this step-by-step process needs to look like.
And yes, the order of operations does matter. If you mess up the order, you'll screw up the entire process.
- Step 1: Enhance your profile.
- The more attractive it is to your ideal prospects, the more likely they are to accept your invite (and respond to you).
- Step 2: Send invites.
- And btw, stop manually sending invites - it's not worth your time. Automate your outreach. You can send 750-825 invites/mo. You can use software like ours to automate it.
- Step 3: Get new connections.
- Below a 15% acceptance rate is bad. 15-25% is okay. 25-35% is good. Above 35% is great.
- Step 4: Get new replies.
- With good messaging, you response rate should be around 30%.
- Step 5: Book meetings.
- Ideally, your meeting booking rate should be about 15%.
So... for every 750 invites you send, you should aim for 175 new connections. Of those new connections, you should aim for 50 new replies. Of those new replies, at least 8 should result in a meeting booked in the near future. Note - from the 42 who don't book a meeting in the near future, some (probably another 8 or so) would be willing to when the timing is right further out in time.
Here are some takeaways to help you:
- If you aren't getting meetings booked, you're not asking the right questions while messaging (questions are what make prospects interested)
- If you aren't getting replies, your follow up messages aren't good
- If you aren't getting new connections, you there are 3 potential reasons why:
- 1. You aren't sending any invites
- 2. Your profile isn't attractive to your prospects
- 3. Your connection request message isn't good
Simple as that. If you have any questions, let me know.
And if you don't know anything about me (Austin McCulloh), I've sent over 43,000 invites on LinkedIn from my own account, so I'm pretty familiar with how this process works.
